Terms of Use

Last updated: September 9, 2026

These Terms of Use govern access to and use of the Valence Recovery website. By using the website, you agree to these terms, to the extent permitted by applicable law.

Independent Recovery Service

Valence Recovery is a private business and is not a governmental agency, unclaimed-property administrator, court, financial institution, or other government program. Nothing on this website should be interpreted as representing that Valence Recovery is affiliated with, endorsed by, or acting on behalf of a government agency unless expressly stated in a separate written agreement.

Free Government Search

Government agencies in many jurisdictions provide owners with a direct process for searching for and claiming eligible unclaimed property. A potential owner may choose to search and claim eligible property directly through the applicable governmental program or property holder, subject to the rules of that jurisdiction. Using Valence Recovery is not represented as mandatory.

Services

Valence Recovery may identify potential property, communicate information about a possible match, assist with documentation and administrative steps, and provide other recovery-related services that are lawfully offered in the applicable jurisdiction. The exact services provided are determined by the applicable client agreement.

No Guarantee

A potential match is not a determination that a person owns the property. Recovery depends on ownership, documentation, jurisdictional requirements, governmental or holder review, and other circumstances. Valence Recovery does not guarantee that any claim will be approved or that any particular amount will be recovered.

Fees and Compensation

Any fee or compensation charged by Valence Recovery must be stated in the applicable written agreement before the client is obligated to pay it and must comply with the law applicable to the property and the client's circumstances. Fees are not established by this website. Where applicable law imposes special requirements on recovery agreements, notices, disclosures, timing, or compensation, those requirements control.

Nothing in these Terms authorizes Valence Recovery to charge a fee that applicable law prohibits or exceeds a legally applicable limit.

Client Agreements

A website submission is only a request for contact or review. It does not by itself create a client relationship, authorize Valence Recovery to act on a person's behalf, assign ownership of property, or authorize the submission of a claim. Any authorization to act should be documented separately in the applicable agreement or authorization.

Claim Payments

Where a governmental administrator requires payment to be made directly to the actual claimant, Valence Recovery will not represent that the claimant can direct a governmental payment contrary to that requirement. Payment procedures vary by jurisdiction and property type. Where a governmental administrator or property holder requires payment to be made directly to the actual claimant, Valence Recovery will not represent that a payment can be redirected contrary to applicable requirements.

Not Legal, Tax, or Investment Advice

Website information is general information and is not legal, tax, accounting, investment, or other professional advice. You should consult an appropriately qualified professional when advice concerning your circumstances is needed.

Client Responsibilities

You are responsible for providing accurate information, responding to reasonable requests for documentation, and not knowingly providing fraudulent or misleading information. Do not submit Social Security numbers, bank account numbers, passwords, payment-card information, or other highly sensitive information through the public website form.

Website Use

You may not use the website to interfere with its operation, attempt unauthorized access, submit malicious code, scrape information in a manner that violates applicable law, impersonate another person, or submit fraudulent requests.

Third-Party Services

The website may use third-party hosting, email, analytics, or other services. Valence Recovery is not responsible for the independent content or practices of third-party websites and services.

Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. Updated terms will be posted on this page with a revised date.

Legal review recommended before launch:

Unclaimed-property recovery can be subject to jurisdiction-specific rules governing solicitations, contracts, compensation, notices, disclosures, documentation, and representation. These website terms are designed to avoid making unsupported promises or claiming a universal fee rule. The applicable law depends on the property, claimant, jurisdiction, and circumstances of the recovery matter.
